大于0.5不是通过公式计算出来的,是推断出来的。

假设通过第一次筛选/满足第一个criterion的事件为A,通过第二次筛选/满足第二个criterion的时间为B,这道题就要求的就是P(AB)。

根据乘法法则,P(AB)=P(A)×P(B|A),其中P(A)=P(B)=0.5

由于题干中提到了“... for Criterion 1 and Criterion 2 ...... are positively related”。正相关的意思是当A发生后,B也会发生。所以P(B|A),也就是在A的条件下发生B,的概率就要大于P(B)本身发生的0.5.
