选项A是机器学习的本质，就是从给定的数据集里发现数据的规律，进而将这个规律用于预测。也就是找到规律后再给一个新数据集，可以应用这个规律。
选项B是原版书教材上给机器学习分的三大类，有时候deep learning也会描述为deep learning and reinforcement learning。
选项C说反了。overfitting（过度拟合）是对规律抓的太细了。例如老师上课举的例子。分辨一张图片上的鸟类是不是天鹅，过度拟合的模型把局部特征“白色”也抓取了。而underfitting是没有完全抓住数据的规律。例如只抓住了会游泳，有翅膀这两个规律。如果这种欠拟合的模型去做预测的话，就很可能把鸳鸯或者野鸭子也预测为天鹅。
