这是2024 mock a 上午的第六个case
第一问我是这样做的：
23m x 4% = 0.92m + (0.4~1.4) = 1.32 ~ 2.32
需要的operation expense 1.8m
所以延续题目90%的confidence interval 那么这个spending policy不足以满足needs, 当外部的其他资金来源不够多的时候，最差的情况一共只能拿到1.32m总投资，低于1.8m operation expense.
这样做有什么问题吗。。为什么答案要给0.4-1.4取expected…..然后得出的结论就正好是sufficient了

mock现在都是Boston协会出的，不收费了，题目质量真的很差，这道题也就是解答中说了一下取中间值，题干根本没有提，我个人认为是出题人想这么出，但是题干又忘记说清楚了。
The ESU Office of Sponsored Research estimates a 90% confidence interval for the mean value of annual research grant funds from outside sources to be $0.4 to $1.4 million.
ESU 研究办公室估计，来自外部来源的年度研究资助资金的平均值为 0.4 至 140 万美元（ 90% 的置信区间）。
0.4m就是400k
解答中AMLAIC’s total funding requirement of $1,800,000 is reduced by external funds, with expected value at the middle of the confidence interva这句话的意思就是
估计的0.4到140万美元取一个中间值，就是($1,400,000 + $400,000) / 2 作为estimate
至于 confidence interval就是指0.4到140的这个区间
