同学你好，这是属于R12假设检验的知识点。在原版书上有相应的描述：

pooled estimator是混合估计量的意思，图中绿线部分是它的解释，是T检验下面的一种，当我们想知道两个总体均值的差异的时候(前提是两个总体都是正态分布、总体方差虽然未知，但是假设两者的总体方差是一致的)，就要用到这个混合估计量来计算，具体公式如下：

之所以是“POOLED”，可以理解为在等式右边需要同时用到S1以及S2两个不同样本的方差。

这一知识点可以当做补充结论来记一下即可，不算做重点对象。
