What is the difference between SRO and independent regulator?
they both not require government funding.
SRO can either be independent regulator or non-independent.
independent regulator can be either SRO or non-SRO.
my question is what is the difference between independent regulator and SRO then?

SRO ,may be regulator,may be not regulator
only SRO that Government authored can regulator
for expamle:
cfa institute is a SRO, but not authored by government,thus not a independent regulator
