同学你好，理论上，fair value是和market value更相关的。

同学可以参考以下这段fair value的定义：“Fair value is the estimated price at which an asset is bought or sold when both the buyer and seller freely agree on a price.

To determine the fair value of a product or financial investment, an individual or business may look at actual market transactions for similar assets, estimate the expected earnings of the asset, and determine the cost to replace the asset.”

实际应用中，最多的情况下，确认某个资产的fair value就是以其在现在市场上的售价（即market value）来确定的，或者是以资产的intrinsic value或重置成本来确定，这三个成本都和book value没有关系。

而book value由于是账面价值，记录的是会计当初购置或获得该资产时记录的价值减去一些会计上的摊销等项目后的金额。尤其在一些流动性较差的资产上，很可能跟fair value或market value是差距较大的。

当然对一些fair value很难获得并且流动性较好的资产，有时候为了计量方便，也会用book value代替fair value。
