解析写的P(A|B)没问题,B相当于条件,即前面给出的“if P(B) = 0.50”。

解析出发的角度是P(AB)=P(B)×P(A|B),原理是一样的。

根据题干,通过筛选(screen)的股票要同时符合两个criterion,即 “ ....pass Hixon's two screens”。假设通过第一次筛选/满足第一个criterion的事件为A,通过第二次筛选/满足第二个criterion的时间为B,这道题就要求的就是P(AB)。

根据乘法法则,P(AB)=P(A)×P(B|A),其中P(A)=P(B)=0.5

由于题干中提到了“... for Criterion 1 and Criterion 2 ...... are positively related”。正相关的意思是当A发生后,B也会发生。所以P(B|A),也就是在A的条件下发生B,的概率要大于P(B)本身发生的0.5.

所以P(AB)>0.5×0.5=0.25,选择C选项。
