ABS （Asset-backed security）是资产证券化产品，凡是能有现金流产生的资产，都可以证券化。按照资产种类的不同，我们会有不同的信贷资产证券化。发行资产支持证券的资产有：居民住房抵押贷款、商业地产抵押贷款、汽车贷款、信用卡的应收账款等。这些资产证券化的发行过程或本质都是差不多的，只是基础资产不同。

以下是原版书原文：Securitization involves pooling debt obligations, such as loans or receivables, and creating securities backed by the pool of debt obligations called asset-backed securities (ABS).

简单理解就是将一堆有现金流的资产揉到一起放在一个资产池子里，这个池子形成一个总的现金流，以这个池子的资产为“底”对外发行证券。
