“at a stated annual interest rate of 2% compounded monthly”是指这些interest要按月计息吗?但一开始不是说是按年产生interestm么?

再追问下,这里I/Y=2.0184,是因为把原来按年计息的bond的利息,都重新放到了新的账户(以月计息)进行再投资,所以原来的r不再适用,而是要用这个新账户的r并将它年化,是这个意思吗?

对于题干中标出的“separate savings account”,这个账户里是按月计息,即“...reinvested in a separate savings account at a stated annual interest rate of 2% compounded monthly”。

对于一开始的“a four-year certificate of deposit (CD)”而言,是按年度计息,即“a four-year certificate of deposit (CD) that annually pays interest of 3.5%”。

本题的意思为将这个a four-year certificate of deposit (CD) 每年的利息拿出来,再放在separate savings accoun里按月计息

对的,原CD的利率是每年3.5%;因为拿出来单独在“separate savings account”中投资,适用的利率就变成了“ a stated annual interest rate of 2% compounded monthly”,I/Y=2.0184即是这个新利率转化成EAR后的结果。
