同学你好,题目给了条件的哦

w=1代表的是RI永远不会衰减,永远保持不变,也就是PVRI = RI永续/ r的意思

而这里题目截图蓝色部分就是相同的意思

另外,题目是不可能不给RI 未来到底是怎么发展的条件的,同学可以放心,助教到现在为止碰到的关于RI的描述就是以下几类

residual income的题干中总共出现了三种情况

1、firm’s ROE will slowly decline towards the cost of equity thereafter

V0=B0+RI1/(1+re)+RI2/(1+re)2+TV/(1+re)2

对应讲义中的第3种情况,是指RI会缓慢下降直至消失——辨认方式比较容易,题目会给出persistence factor的值。

2、 at the end of 2016share price is expected to equal book value per share

V0=B0+RI1/(1+re)+RI2/(1+re)2+0

对应讲义种的第2种情况,但是需要运用第四种情况的公式进行理解。——当股票市场价值等于账面价值,根据第四种情况,P=B,则PVRI=0,说明自此RI立刻归0——可能辨认起来相对模糊,但是通过带入公式可以很快推导出结果。

(或是是在某一年开始 share price等于几倍的book value——此时本质还是第4个公式,即PVRI = 几倍的BVt - BVt)

3、residual income per share will be constant from year 3 into perpetuity and the short-term ROE is higher than the long-term ROE

V0=B0+RI1/(1+re)+RI2/(1+re)2+(RI3+TV)/(1+re)3

对应讲义中的第1种情况,即RI永远不会消失并且保持不变,相当于永续年金的计算——辨认也很容易,题目会提示“RI will be constant into perpetuity一类的字眼”。
